Medical malpractice refers to negligent actions by healthcare professionals that result in harm to patients. In Ghana, while healthcare standards are improving, cases of malpractice still occur, ranging from misdiagnoses to surgical errors. The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has emphasized the need for stricter protocols and ethical practices to reduce such incidents. Patients are encouraged to report malpractice cases to regulatory bodies like the Medical and Dental Council (MDC) for investigation and action.
